FULFILLMENT UPDATE 🚀📈
In the weeds but moving forward
Happy Monday everyone. Work proceeds apace on the Bad Future, Volume One. There’s been a noticeable shift from doing big stuff (like, say, the campaign) to taking care of all the little details, but rest assured I am crossing my i’s and dotting my t’s.
Got some cool interior art in from Don Nguyen. I was planning to share, but... it’s so cool, especially how it ties the book together. So I’m leaving it a surprise. 😲
I’m also working on the Pledge Manger finding the cheapest shipping, which so far has been Pirate Ship though Easy Ship is not too far behind.
And talking with my designer about paginating the book, and prepping final files with the new artwork.
For the other parts of my life, had a wonderful time at a family wedding in Paso Robles, CA with a reception that coincided with Game 7 of the World Series, so fun, dancing, and various pockets of people crowded around a cell phone.
Oh, and a terrific time at REVENGE OF’s Comic Block Party. Got to see a Women in Comics panel with some AMAZING guests, including Shelly Bond. Maybe you don’t know the name, but I guarantee it’s in the credits of some of your favorite comics, and she was one of the main editorial forces behind Vertigo Comics in the 80s and 90s. I found out she has a book on editing on comics (which started life as a Kickstarter) and is still available online. I just ordered my copy.
My Kickstarter backing may have cooled somewhat, but I did back NOBODY’S PRINCESS by my Comics & Coffee Zoom-mate Marcus McNeal, and CLASH OF THE CLASSICS by my friend and Con panel mate Tom Pinchuk.
And that’s it from me. Thanks to everyone following the campaign. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
